International Energy Agency (IEA) predicted in World Energy Outlook-2017 that, the world's energy and electricity demands will continue to grow in the long run, and rise 30% by 2040, which amounts to the great demand of the current level plus another China and India. 

The document said that the world's energy and electricity demands will grow at a slower speed than before, but will still rise 30% by 2040, which amounts to addition of another China and India to the current demand level. 

IEA found that China is still the largest country of consumption in energy and electricity of the world,but India will become the biggest contributor to the demand growth, Indian consumption ratio will rise to 11% from 7% of 2016,and those countries in Southeast Asia will also be the important drivers for this growth.
