Ground wire insulator is a special sort of suspension insulator, using for connecting the ground wire between over head transmission line and tower.
  The ground wire insulator is with the characteristics of lower electrical and mechanical level, shorter shed diameter and creepage distance and equipped with air-gap electrode (classified into suspension type and tension type).
  Assembling with over head ground wire, the ground wire insulator is used to protect the transmission line from lightning.
